The core MotionPotion plugin for After Effects. Pick a recipe from the Spellbook, click import, and the animation lands in your comp: keyframes, easing curves, expressions, all of it. For motion designers who'd rather direct the animation than transcribe it. Also available for Figma, with Cross-Sharing between the two coming soon.
What it solves.

- Every spell is a complete animation recipe: keyframes, timing, easing curves, expressions. Apply it to your layers instead of rebuilding it from a reference video, one diamond at a time.
- One-Click Import
- Pick a spell, click import, and it's in your comp. No project files to download, no copy-pasting layers between projects, no untangling someone else's precomps.
- Library Sync
- The Spellbook lives inside the plugin panel and stays in sync with your account. New spells show up as we publish them. You never reinstall to get new material.
Known limitations
& gotchas.
We'd rather tell you now than have you find out mid-deadline. Recipes map to specific property types (position, scale, rotation, opacity, and friends), so an unusual rig may need a nudge after import. Large keyframe sets take a moment to write into the comp; that's AE doing the work, not the plugin hanging. Expressions baked into a recipe assume the expression engine behaves the way it did where the recipe was authored.
And if a recipe's origin project leaned on a third-party effect you don't have installed, that part of the spell won't conjure. The plugin tells you what's missing instead of failing silently, but it can't install effects for you.

On Adobe & your OS 🤷
Adobe CEP panel quirks, the ZXP installer process, behavior differences between AE versions, and the OS security prompts (Gatekeeper, SmartScreen) that appear when installing extensions. We document workarounds in the install guide, but we can't patch Adobe or your operating system.
Powered by
the API.
The spell library, sync, and previews are served live from the MotionPotion API. The plugin itself is a thin panel: a network client, not a warehouse. It queries the API for the current Spellbook and renders whatever comes back, rather than shipping recipes baked into the extension.
Stop transcribing keyframes. Start casting them.
The After Effects plugin is free to install, with the full Spellbook open to every plan. Wizard just lifts the 5-import monthly cap.
