Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MotionPotion (the "Service"), operated by FourPlus OOD ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

MotionPotion provides a library of After Effects (and Figma) motion templates ("recipes") and plugins that import those recipes into your projects. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time, but we will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid plans.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. One account per person. Shared accounts or bulk credential distribution are not permitted. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. Free plan

The free "Apprentice" plan includes 5 imports and 5 exports per month, resetting 30 days after your usage period begins. The monthly count is the only restriction: the entire public library is browsable and importable on the free plan, with no recipes held back for paid plans. We may grant a higher monthly allowance to an individual account at our discretion, and we reserve the right to adjust these limits with reasonable notice. The free plan is provided as-is, without any service-level guarantees.

4. Paid plans (Wizard and Studio)

The Wizard plan is billed monthly ($14/month, excl. VAT) or annually ($129/year, excl. VAT). The Studio plan is billed per seat for 2–10 seats, monthly ($12/seat/month, excl. VAT) or annually ($10/seat/month billed yearly, excl. VAT). Paid plans remove the monthly import and export limits. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges until you cancel.

Cancellation: Cancel any time from your account page. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
Pausing: Instead of cancelling, you may pause billing for one, two, or three months from your account page. You are not invoiced for the paused period. Paid features are not extended to cover it, so once the period you have already paid for runs out, the account behaves as a free one until billing resumes on the date shown when you paused. You can resume earlier at any time, and your account and saved recipes are untouched throughout.
Refunds: We offer a full refund within 7 days of the first charge if the Service didn't work as described. Write to hello@motionpotion.co. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion.
Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance.

5. License to use recipes

Recipes are licensed, not sold. When you import a recipe, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the resulting animation in your projects, commercial and client work included, subject to these rules:

You may use recipes in unlimited client and personal projects
You may not redistribute the raw recipe data (the AEL clipboard string) or resell it as a standalone product
You may not use recipes to build a competing motion template library or plugin
Recipes imported while on a paid plan remain licensed even if you later cancel: you do not lose access to projects already built

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract the recipe library
Share credentials or circumvent plan limits through automation
Use the Service to create content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service's infrastructure

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

7. Intellectual property

MotionPotion, its recipes, design, and branding are owned by FourPlus OOD. These Terms do not transfer any IP to you. You retain all rights to the projects you create using the recipes.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding uptime, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free operation. After Effects and Figma are third-party products; we are not responsible for their behavior or API changes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FourPlus OOD's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria. Disputes that can't be resolved informally will be settled in the courts of Sofia, Bulgaria, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice in the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
