Coming soon · for Illustrator & InDesign

Paste the data.
Get
a real table.

Copy a range out of Excel, or drop a CSV file, and TableGod builds an actual table — text frames and cells you can still edit, not a picture of a spreadsheet.

Coming soon. We'll email you the day it ships, nothing else.

Paid tool, free 7-day trial once it ships — included in the Wizard plan after that. See Wizard pricing →

Requires Adobe Illustrator or InDesign · Windows or macOS.

Draw fifty rectangles,
or fight a picture of Excel.

Illustrator has no table tool at all — the closest thing is the Variables panel, built for swapping one record per artboard, not for accumulating rows into one table. InDesign has Data Merge, but it has the same limitation: it repeats a whole layout per record, it doesn't build one table with your rows in it.

So most pricing tables, spec sheets and comparison charts get built by hand — a grid of rectangles and text frames, nudged into alignment one cell at a time — or pasted in as a screenshot of the spreadsheet, which can't be edited, re-styled, or re-flowed once the data changes.

TableGod gives you a third way: paste the data, get the table.

Copy a range out of Excel — it arrives on the clipboard as real rows and columns, not a picture — or drop a .csv file. Either way you get an editable preview to fix before anything touches the artboard or page.

Paste it in.
Get a table you can still edit.

Excel Copy-Paste
Select cells in Excel, copy, paste into TableGod — it reads the real rows and columns straight off the clipboard. No exporting to CSV first.
CSV Import
Drop a .csv file for anything that didn't start life in Excel — an export from a database, a spreadsheet app, a script.
Edit Before You Generate
A plain editable preview of the pasted data — fix a typo, mark the first row as the header — before anything touches the artboard or page.
Auto-Fit Columns & Rows
Column width follows the longest cell in that column, row height follows the tallest — measured, not guessed, so nothing clips.
Two Style Presets
Minimal — thin rules under the header, nothing else. Banded — a solid header fill and alternating row shading. Both apply on generate; more presets are on the roadmap.
Real Objects, Not a Picture
Every cell is a text frame you can still select, retype and restyle after generating — grouped as one table, not flattened into artwork.

What it does not do yet

  • No manual column/row resize — auto-fit only, for now.
  • No custom saved style presets — Minimal and Banded, that's the list.
  • No batch generation from one CSV into many tables — one table at a time.
  • No re-sync: change the source data and you generate a fresh table, it doesn't update the old one in place yet.
  • No image-per-cell — text data only, for catalogs with product photos this isn't the tool yet.

Every table you've
built by hand.

Pricing Tables

Plans, prices and feature checkmarks straight from the spreadsheet the pricing actually lives in — no retyping numbers into rectangles.

Comparison Infographics

Us-vs-them charts and spec comparisons, built from the same data the sales deck uses, styled to match the rest of the artwork.

Spec Sheets

Dimensions, materials, SKUs — dropped in as a real table you can still tweak, not a screenshot that goes stale the moment a number changes.

Stop drawing rectangles by hand.

TableGod is coming soon. Same deal as every MotionPotion plugin: a free 7-day trial once it's live, then included in the Wizard plan — no separate purchase. One account signs you into all of them; the trial itself is just per plugin.
