Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 2026
MotionPotion ("we", "our", "us") is a product of FourPlus OOD. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We've tried to write it plainly. If something is unclear, write to us at hello@motionpotion.co.
What we collect
When you create an account:
- Your email address
- Your name (if you sign in with Google, we receive whatever Google provides)
- A hashed password, if you use email/password login
When you use the product:
- Import counts and export counts (to enforce plan limits)
- Your current plan ("free" or "pro")
- Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, HTTP method), retained for up to 30 days
We do not collect data from inside After Effects or Figma. The plugin reads your clipboard and writes to the active composition. Nothing leaves your machine except the counts recorded when you click "Steal this recipe."
Why we collect it
- Account management: to let you sign in and identify your session
- Plan enforcement: to know whether you're on free or pro and apply the right import limit
- Billing: if you upgrade to Wizard, we pass your user ID to Stripe to link your subscription. Stripe handles all card data; we never see it.
- Product improvement: aggregate, non-personal usage patterns (e.g. which recipe categories are most popular)
Third-party services
- Supabase: hosts our database and authentication. Data stored in the EU-West region. Privacy policy
- Stripe: handles payment processing for Wizard subscriptions. We pass only your user ID; Stripe handles all card data. Privacy policy
- Google OAuth: if you choose "Sign in with Google", Google's standard OAuth flow applies. We receive only name and email. Privacy policy
- Vercel: hosts the website. Standard edge logs apply. Privacy policy
- Google Analytics: measures site traffic and usage (pages visited, buttons clicked, approximate location and device). We do not send it your name or email. Privacy policy
We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and local storage
We use Supabase session cookies to keep you logged in, and Google Analytics cookies to measure site traffic and usage. The After Effects plugin stores your auth token in the plugin's local storage. It never leaves Adobe's sandbox.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@motionpotion.co. We will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. billing records for tax purposes, retained for 7 years).
Children
MotionPotion is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
Changes to this policy
We'll post material changes on this page with a new effective date. If you continue using MotionPotion after a change, you accept the updated policy.
