The last keyframe
isn't the
last word.
Decides what a property does once its keyframes run out: start over, run back and forth, carry on from where the last repeat ended, or keep the last velocity. Pick In, Out or both, and limit how many keyframes take part — one click, no expression to type.

Two-minute install.
Option A — as a dockable panel (recommended)
Download the .jsx file.
Quit After Effects.
Drop the file into the ScriptUI Panels folder:
macOS/Applications/Adobe After Effects <version>/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels
WindowsC:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects <version>\Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels
Start After Effects and open the panel from the Window menu, at the bottom of the list.
Dock it anywhere you like — it stays there between sessions.
In a hurry? File → Scripts → Run Script File… and pick the .jsx. Runs once, installs nothing.
Four ways to keep going,
one way to stop.
- Cycle, Ping Pong, Offset, Continue
- Starts over, runs back and forth, carries on from where the last repeat ended for endless movement, or keeps the last velocity with no repeat at all. Pick In, Out, or both ends.
- Works On Selections Or Whole Layers
- Select specific properties, or just select layers — every animated property on them gets the loop, and the result tells you how many that turned out to be.
- Match Ends
- Writes the first keyframe's value into the last one, which is what usually stops a cycle from visibly jumping at the seam.
- Remove, Safely
- Strips the loop expression again — but only ever the expressions this script wrote. Anything you typed by hand is left exactly as it was.
Stop retyping loopOut() by hand.
